The tiger that killed the laborer in Kalinagar area of Pilibhit will now be caught. After getting permission to catch the tiger from the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Wildlife (PCCF Wildlife), the officers have increased vigilance. Many teams of the department are keeping an eye on the movement of the tiger.
A tiger killed Kedar Lal, a labourer from Baskheda village, while he was guarding a farm adjacent to the forest of Mala Range of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. His body was recovered from inside the forest. The family members were talking about the tiger attacking him while he was guarding and dragging the body into the forest, while the departmental officers were saying that the incident took place inside the forest.
There was a lot of anger among the villagers regarding the incident. The villagers also blocked the highway demanding the capture of the tiger. After which the forest officers swung into action and installed a cage in the forest area near the incident spot. Along with this, correspondence was also made with the departmental headquarters to capture the tiger by making it unconscious.
